Ann Johnson Used to sit and have lunch under it in the summer when I went to risley avenue school for Girls. Also when my son was little would have lunch with him under it. Live in Bedfordshire now it was great seeing pics of it.

Les Vial I went to Lancasterian School next door to Bruce Castle Park. Being fairly good at art I was sent over to draw a picture of the oak tree and told to take my time, so I did and was gone about two hours - I was about 8 years old - the past truly is a foreign place.....
